Credits are used when you swipe right to apply to a job using Sprout. When you apply, Sprout generates your application materials: a tailored cover letter and a tailored resume, depending on your settings.

Most jobs require either:
1 credit: for standard applications
3 credits: for roles that are more complex or require additional context
⚡ You'll always see the number of credits required for a job next to the lightning bolt icon before you apply.

Credits are used when you swipe right to apply to a job. Once you swipe, the app begins generating your materials, and the credit is deducted.
✅ If you swipe left to skip a job, no credit is used.
✅ If an application fails due to a system issue, we'll automatically refund your credit.

No, credits reset at the start of each new billing cycle. When that happens depends on your plan: weekly plans reset every 7 days, monthly plans each month, annual plans on their own schedule.
Make sure to use your credits before your next renewal, or they'll expire.

You can get more credits by:
Subscribing to Sprout: credits refresh with each billing cycle
Upgrading to a higher plan: more credits per cycle depending on the tier
Buying a credit pack: a one-time top-up that doesn't change your subscription, for when you run low mid-cycle
Credit packs are available in the app when your credits run out. They're a one-off purchase and sit on top of whatever your plan gives you.
