📎 Choosing Which Resume and Cover Letter Get Sent

How to see and change the documents a right swipe will send, without leaving the job feed.

Before you swipe, you can see exactly what Sprout is about to send (which resume, and whether an AI cover letter goes with it) and change either one without leaving the job feed.

👀 Where to see it

Web: every job card shows an Applying with label naming the resume and cover letter. Click it to open the picker.

Mobile: the card shows an R and a C icon, for resume and cover letter. Tap either to open the Applying with sheet.

The icons and label update as soon as you change something, so what you see on the card is always what a right swipe will send.

📄 Choosing the resume

The resume dropdown offers:

  • AI resume: tailored to each job as you apply

  • Any resume you've uploaded to this profile, sent exactly as it is

Worth knowing: picking an uploaded resume here makes it the default for that profile, so it's used for the jobs you apply to next, not just this one. It's a change to how you're applying, not a one-off.

✉️ Choosing the cover letter

The cover letter dropdown is simpler: AI cover letter or None.

Turning it off here means applications from this profile go without a cover letter. Some roles genuinely don't want one; most benefit from it.

🎯 Changing documents for one application only

If you want a different resume for one particular job without changing your default, do it during review rather than on the job card.

With Review Documents switched on, applications wait in your Review Queue, and the resume dropdown there applies to that application alone.

👥 Documents belong to a profile

Each professional profile has its own resumes and its own document choices. Switching profile switches what gets sent, which is the point: your marketing profile can lead with one resume while your operations profile uses another.
