Why did Sprout fail to submit my job application?

Explains why some AI applications fail, when credits are refunded, and what to do if many jobs fail at once due to an outage.

Sprout's AI agent is designed to apply to jobs on your behalf quickly and reliably. While the majority of applications succeed, there are cases where a submission might fail.

⚠️ Why do some applications fail?

Most commonly, failures happen because:

  • The job site changes its layout or flow

  • CAPTCHA or anti-bot tools block the application

  • A form has unexpected or incompatible fields

  • A login fails or authentication times out

Our system stops the submission to prevent errors—and in those cases, we automatically return the credit to your account.

💡 What if many of my applications failed?

Occasionally, there may be a temporary outage or system issue that causes a high number of application failures.

If you notice that most or all of your recent applications have failed:

👉 Reply here right away with roughly when you swiped, and we'll look into it.

🔁 Can I retry a failed application myself?

Currently, if an application fails:

  • You can't retry it through the app, but

  • You can manually apply by tapping on the job card and submitting it on the employer's website

We're actively working on features that will allow retry attempts in the future.

✅ Quick recap

  • Some job applications may fail due to technical challenges

  • You'll automatically get your credit back

  • Let us know if many jobs fail at once—we'll fix it and re-run them
