Adjusting Your Job Filters

How to change your job filters, and which settings most often narrow your results more than expected.

🔍 How Do I Change My Search Filters?

You can customize your filters directly in the app to help surface job listings that better match what you're looking for:

📲 Steps to Adjust Your Filters

  • 💼 To change your job title or location, tap the button at the top-center of the Jobs page — it’ll show something like "Data Engineer • New York"

→ When you tap it, you’ll be asked “What (Job title)?” and “Where (Location)?” — just fill those in to update your search

📲 To Adjust Other Filters:

  1. Go to the Jobs tab

  2. Tap the Filters button at the top-right

From there, you can adjust:

  • 🧠 Experience Level (Entry, Mid, Senior, etc.)

  • ⏱️ Job Type (Full-time, Part-time, Internship)

  • 💰 Minimum Salary

  • 📍 Location Type (Remote, In-Person, Hybrid)

  • 🕒 Posted Date (Past 24 hours, Past Week, Past Month)

Tips to Improve Results

  • 🌍 Looking for remote jobs? Set your location to a broader area (like "United States" instead of a city) — this tends to surface more relevant remote roles.

  • ⚠️ Avoid using the Minimum Salary filter unless essential — many listings don’t include salary info, so setting a minimum can accidentally hide good opportunities.

  • 🧩 Our search engine can be overly selective, so we recommend selecting two nearby experience levels (e.g., "Entry" + "Mid" if you're mid-level).
